Beim reset_2.0 Media Arts Festival wird eine Spielwiese für junge Kunst- und Kulturschaffende aus Münster und anderen vernetzten Orten entstehen, die im Mittelpunkt eine Kunstausstellung mit aktuellen Arbeiten zu dem Thema @night präsentiert.

Rund um die Ausstellung wird es an vier Abenden Live-Konzerte mit tollen Musikern aus der Region geben. Des Weiteren gibt es einen Kurzfilm-Abend mit Open-Air-Kino, einen Lyrik-Abend, eine Kleinkunstgala und einen Künstlermarkt mit einer offenen Bühne am Wochenende.

Die Konzertabende werden zu euphorisierenden Partys mit bekannten DJs und VJs ausufern ; ).

Etwas ganz Besonderes wird das Festivals natürlich erst durch das Engagement und das Talent der vielen Kreativen der Generation@, die an Planung und Ausführung beteiligt sind!

Wir versuchen mit dem reset 2.0 den Brückenschlag zwischen unterschiedlichen kulturellen und künstlerischen Szenen zu schaffen, der zu einem freundschaftlichen und inspirierenden Miteinander im Festivalrahmen führen soll.

Das reset-Festival möchte so eine junge und unabhängige Alternative zu anderen Stadtfesten schaffen, in der sowohl eine feierliche und positive Festivalstimmung als auch anregende Impulse an die Besucher abgegeben werden.

‘KUBIKS’, or Doug Ross to the non drum and bass world has emerged as a key artist in recent years. Spending most of his life based in Bristol he discovered his love for Drum & Bass after seeing Roni Size, Die & Krust DJing at Lakota in 1998. It wasn’t long before he started producing and in 2002 had his debut 12″ released on John B’s label TANGENT. Soon after this KUBIKS teamed up with BCEE and launched RUBIK RECORDS. With a string of releases on his own label, KUBIKS met a new face to BRISTOL, Davide Carbone and soon discovered a very successful partnership. The pairing went on to release on a number of labels including 31 Records, Industry, Renegade and Defunked.

In 2005, Davide Carbone moved to London and the duos releases started to slow down. Should it be fate or perfect timing when one of the members of HOLD TIGHT (Lomax) moves to Bristol and a new team is formed. Both bringing skills the other didn’t have to the table KUBIKS & LOMAX soon saw a run of releases that lasted until 2007 when they took 6 months out to write their DEBUT album ‘SPEAK LIFE’ which was release on German label PHUNKFICTION RECORDINGS. Kubiks & Lomax have managed to clock up over 30 releases in 3 years including such labels as V Recordings, C.I.A, Defunked, Nu Directions, BS1 & Spearhead.

Kubiks now resides in Chichester on the south coast of England where he has become a family man, plays golf and smokes a pipe on the weekends. With released lined up throughout 2009 KUBIKS is continuing to DJ both national and International sets.

Trilingo is a drum n bass artist based in Muenster Germany. Alex Pienemann was born in Sydney Australia in 1985. He learned the drums and several percussion instruments and has performed in numerous bands. He started to produce electronic music in 2005.
In 2006 Trilingo released several tracks on ENEMYMOVEMENT records.
Followed by 2008’s release on BEATADDICTION recordings.
His way of producing his music has made him believe that everything is possible and that there would never be any boundaries.

VISUALISATION-FESTIVAL 18th to 20th of December Kulturhaus * Neuhaus am Rennweg * germany
VJ-/Crews / Workshops / Lectures / Showcases / Installation

Vom 18. bis 20. Dezember findet im Kulturhaus in Neuhaus am Rennweg das „Visualisation-Festival“ statt. Diese Veranstaltung soll vorrangig VJ´s (Visualjockeys) die Möglichkeit geben sich in gemeinschaftlicher Runde zu treffen, Kontakte zu knüpfen, sich Inspirationen zu holen und sich über neue technische Innovationen zu informieren.

Neben den Vorträgen und Workshops wird es am 19. Dezember eine Veranstaltung geben zu der 8 VJ-Crews die Gelegenheit haben ihre kreativen Fähigkeiten dem Publikum zu präsentieren. Für die musikalische Darbietung wurden bisher 12 DJ´s und 6 Live Acts erwählt.

Von Seiten der VJs sind bisher bestätigt: Retina_Error (D), Schallbild (D), Julie Meitz (F), Artificialeyes.tv (A), MX Wendler (D), Reply2All (D), BewegtBildBau (D), Bildstörung (CH), Emily Triplehead (D), 7dex aka yochee (D), Paulo Barros (BR), Electro-I-Man (E), VSXu (S).

Yochee wird einen Workshop betreuen/abhalten zum Thema Mapping und mit einer Videoinstallation namens “Flutter” (Flacker) vertreten sein. Beschreibung Flacker:
The audible presence of creatures and ambience is visualized as jittery events by a completely analogue videoinstalation whilst the origin of sound remains invisible.

Es ist mal wieder SOMMER! Zeit, draußen was zu unternehmen, frische Luft zu schnappen und dabei ausgelassen zu feiern. Was liegt näher, als mit Freunden eine wilde Kanalparty am schönen Dortmund-Ems-Kanal zu veranstalten?!

TIBETAN KNOTTING ART
Jan Kath’s collection links the traditional handicrafts of the Himalayas with modern, almost minimalist design. A synthesis which leads to extraordinary pieces. Kath was already familiar with the fascination of hand-knotted carpets from his family background: two generations before him had already been active in the carpet trade. So it was no coincidence that long working stays in the Middle East led him onwards to the Himalayas. Since 1996 he has been realising his vision of contemporary carpet art with a workshop in Nepal.

CONTEMPORARY DESIGN
The secret of the aesthetic refinement of the carpets lies in clarity of design and skilful use of traditional know-how: the use of exclusively hand-spun and hand-carded wool produces carpets which often play with the richness of nuances of a single colour, called the abrash. In this way, masterworks full of harmony and simplicity are created – each piece unique.

HIGH-QUALITY MATERIALS
The basic material of all the collections is Tibetan Highland wool – one of the best quality and most robust types of wool in the world. Jan Kath offers two knot configurations: super 80 and 100 knots. In order to guarantee the best possible quality, the wool is prepared step by step in his own workshops and coloured with high quality Swiss dyes to make it ready for the months of handiwork. Environmentally friendly, socially responsible – no child labour. The majority of the carpets are then finished in Switzerland.

HIGH FLEXIBILITY
All the collections presented here can be modified in size, colour, design and knot configuration. Choose from up to 125 colours: further materials such as nettle and hemp are also possible. Special custom orders are produced in the workshop just as professionally as the collections. Flexibility in interior design as well: thanks to their common signature, all the carpets can be combined with other collections in a system of building blocks. Let your fancy take flight!
