MI. 12.11. – OPENING PARTY
Eröffnet wird das viertägige Live-Programm der DokfestLounge in diesem Jahr mit der audioreaktiven Mapping-Performance BLUE & WHITE CHESS der spanischen Künstlerin Kalma und den aus Belgrad angereisten Künstlern Incredible Bob und WoO mit ihrer Expanded Cinema Performance PEOPLEMETER. Ab Mitternacht weihen Mila Stern aus Halle und der in Kassel beheimatete Schmeisser die Tanzfläche ein. Visuell untermalt wird die erste Partynacht mit humorvollen Visuals der Schweizer Illustratorin und VJane Steaknet.
// The live program of this years DokfestLounge opens with the audio reactive mapping performance BLUE & WHITE CHESS of the Spanish artist Kalma, followed by the Belgrade-based duo Incredible Bob and WoO with their expanded cinema performance PEOPLEMETER. At midnight Mila Stern from Halle and the in well-known Kassel DJ Der Schmeisser break in the dance floor.The Swiss illustrator and Vjane Steaknet accompanies them with humorous visuals to sweeten the first party night of the festival.

DO. 13.11. – MEET AND MIX
Bühne frei für alle Festivalbesucher/innen! Mit der Open Stage bietet die DokfestLounge die Möglichkeit sich mit eigenen VJ-Sets zu präsentieren und kollektiv die Leinwände zu bespielen. Doch bevor es zu diesem friedlichen Miteinander kommt, laden wir Euch zum ersten DokfestVJ-Battle ein. Als Preise loben wir Resolume VJ- und Mappingsoftware in einem Gesamtwert von 1.000 Euro aus. Eingeleitet wird dieser Abend mit der audiovisuellen Performance LES MACHINES SOLITAIRES von der französischen Fotografin und Videokünstlerin Aude Rrose. Für die Tanzfläche ist der Frankfurter DJ Paul Kine verantwortlich – 90er House & Acid vereint mit modernem und minimalistischem Dub, Techno und Breakbeat.
// Clear the stage for everyone! Tonight, the DokfestLounge offers the second edition of the Open VJ Stage with the possibility for all external and local artists, filmmakers and visitors to showcase and to try out own VJ-sets as well as playing together on the separate screens of the location. This year, including a VJ Battle with awarded VJ and mapping software prizes for a total value of 1.000 Euro, sponsored by our partner Resolume. Introducing the evening, the french photographer and video artist Aude Rrose will perform her experimental performance LES MACHINES SOLITAIRES. Responsible for tonight’s dance floor is the Frankfurt-based DJ Paul Kine with a mix of house and acid sounds rooted in the 90ties, performed in combination with current minimalistic dub, techno and breakbeats.

FR. 14.11. – RESIDENCE PARTY
Freut Euch auf einen kuriosen Abend, den wir vertrauensvoll und komplett in die Hände unserer ersten Gäste des neuen Residence-Programms DokfestLaunch übergeben haben. Nach einer Woche Artist Residency in Kassel werden sie erst ihre neue Performance SPECTRALALA uraufführen, um dann ihren 8. Geburtstag mit einem wilden Mix von Electro- und Dubswing, Funk, Nuwave, Disco Punk und Indie Pop Sounds zu rocken. Zusätzlich begrüßen wir in diesem Rahmen auch die atemberaubende Performance USAGININGEN der japanischen Künstler/innen Emi und Shinichi Hirai mit ihren Video- und Soundmaschinen Shibaki und Ta-co. Dress Code: zweitausendundsechs. Es werden Sportschuhe empfohlen.
// Look forward to a bizarre evening, which we trustfully put in the skilled hands of our first guests of the new audio visual residency program “DokfestLaunch”. After one week of creation, the artists‘ collective Homemade premiere their brand-new performance SPECTRALALA and celebrate afterwards their 8th birthday party, rocking the house with a wild mix of Electro and Dubswing, Funk, Nuwave, Disco Punk and Indie Pop Sounds. Additionally, we welcome the Japanese artists Emi and Shinichi Hirai with their original visual and music machines Shibaki and Ta-co. Dress code is “two-thousand-six”.

Zur Festivalparty lassen wir es mit einem imposanten Line-up noch mal richtig krachen: Erst eine audiovisuelle und futuristische Reise mit STM~ von den Schweizern Luis Sanz und Niculin Barandun, gefolgt von der technoiden Performance WHITE NOISE/BLACK NOISE von Joel Dittrich aus Schweden. Anschließend Party mit den aus San Francisco stammenden Djs Tinker und Kid Kameleon sowie dem im Hamburger Pudel Club beheimateten Knospt. Das Ganze serviert mit VJ-Sets von Cylixe und Luis Sanz in Kombination mit einem Stagemapping des Videokünstlers Yochee aus Münster. Musikalisch ein vielseitiger Mix aus HipHop, Dubstep, IDM, Glitch, 8-bit Sound, Global Bass und Drum’n’Bass, gepaart mit Einflüssen von Kuduru, Footwork, Trap, Garage und einem halben Dutzend anderer elektronischer Tanzmusikgenres.
// Festival party! Let’s honor this evening with a decent line-up: First, we send you on a futuristic journey with the Swiss artists Luis Sanz and Niculin Barandun and their performance STM~. Afterwards the technoid performance WHITE NOISE/BLACK NOISE of the Swedish artist Joel Dittrich. Finally it’s party time with the American DJs Tinker and Kid Kameleon as well as Knospt highly recommended by the Golden Pudel Club Hamburg. Next to an additionally VJ-set of Luis Sanz, we welcome also Cylixe for the screens and Yochee, pleasuring your eyes with a stage mapping. Music: HipHop, Dubstep, IDM, Glitch, 8-bit Sound, Global Bass and Drum’n’Bass, intricates footwork, trap, dub, garage and half a dozen other electronic dance music genres.
