LIVE PERFORMERS MEETING 2015 Rome
The sixteenth edition of LPM Live Performers Meeting will take place from 28th to 31st May in the spaces of Nuovo Cinema Aquila and Sapienza University in Rome. LPM 2015 Rome offers the unique opportunity to experience 4 days of audiovisual performances, VJing, workshops, panel discussion, product showcases presented by more than 300 VJs, audiovisual artists, new media professionals and thinkers from 40 countries all around the world.
Again, this XVI edition seeks to promote the practice of live video performance, thanks to a rich and unpredictable program aimed at exploring different themes through new audiovisual languages, techniques and technologies.
The daily schedule of the event:

18:00 to 04:00 AV Performances and VJ / DJ sets
LPM is designed as a place of dialogue, comparison and exchange of ideas and information between artists and fans in the field that are accustomed to meet, communicate and interact mostly in the virtual space of the network. Vj, artists, designers, professionals and the general public will be involved in the manifold planned activities: from experimental audiovisual performances, architectural mapping shows, and DJ/VJ sets to workshops, roundtables, and presentations of products and hardware, with a special regard for Free and Open Source projects. Meeting areas devoted to the interaction among the hundreds of participants will be the corollary for the whole duration of the event.
A real meeting place, a space that fulfills an important opportunity for dialogue and exchange, LPM encourages research, experimentation, the encounter between different forms of artistic expression, the interaction of multiple techniques and digital technologies, analog, software and hardware. LPM is an unmissable spectacle during which the audience has the chance to meet the world’s largest selection of artists active in the field of live video performances.
Realized in collaboration with international partners and co-organizers, the project includes a series of previews and promotional events focused on live video to be held inAustria, Belgium, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Spain, Turkey and United Kingdom, during the most important European festivals and cultural events.

LPM 2015 Rome takes place in several locations, to strengthen the connection with the city after the foreign editions of the past two years.
After the successful edition of 2011, LPM is back again at Nuovo Cinema Aquila, a multi-purpose cultural space dedicated to cinema and performing arts, run by a social cooperative and returned to the city after the recent renovation sponsored by the Municipality.
Thanks to the collaboration with the students of Sapienza University collectives, some of the workshops and panels are featured in dedicated areas of the University as the big final party which will takes place during La Notte Bianca della Sapienza, an open air festival fully selfmanaged and selffinanced by the students collectives of all the faculties which takes place in the streets and squares of the campus. After seven editions the festival has become a very important event which involves more than 15.000 people.
In addition to the Meeting, LPM present the second Artistic Residency at Palazzo Chigi in the City of Formello (RM), produced with the assistance of the Province of Rome, the cofunding of Regione Lazio Assessorato Cultura e Politiche giovanili and the collaboration of the City of Formello.
